Formula 1's star driver Max Verstappen may sign a record deal for next season. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund PIF, which owns shares in the automotive company of Aston Martin, one of the most important teams of the top motorsport organisation, is determined to buy Aston Martin's F1 team and is considering creating an ambitious team in such a situation.

If the Verstappen transfer is realised around these figures, the twenty-seven-year-old driver will sign the most expensive Formula 1 contract in history. Canadian businessman Lawrence Stroll, who expressed his intention to sell the Aston Martin team, stated that the necessary financing will be provided if the ownership passes to the Saudi fund.
